When the vehicle is in a turn or a time of acceleration and deceleration, oil in the bottom of the engine will lean or jump to one side. If oil flows to one side, air goes into the oil pump instead of oil and interrupts the continuous oil lubrication. Then without oil, metal surfaces will contact directly with each other, causing the temperature rises and extra wear on moving parts.
